Natalie J. Miller, Attorney
Natalie is a native of Mooresville. She believes in conducting her life in the same manner she conducts business, with honesty and integrity. Natalie commented, "I give the same advice to my clients as I give to my parents. I simply don't know any other way to practice law."
After receiving her B.S. degree in Education from the University of Southern California, she earned her JD degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. While at Wake Forest, Natalie was a member of the Trial Bar and the Christian Legal Society. She also participated in the Clinic for the Elderly and the Litigation Clinic. Natalie completed several internships while in Law School, including a summer as the Mecklenburg County Superior Court Law Clerk and a summer as an intern at the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office.
Natalie is the attorney for the Charles Mack Citizen's Center Senior Pro Bono Project. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association Real Estate and Elder Law sections and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is also a member of the Steering Commitee of the North Carolina Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and a member of the Iredell County Bar Association.
Russell J. Schonekas, III, Attorney
Russell is a native Texan, but has lived in North Carolina his entire adult life. After graduating from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, NC, he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University. After graduating from North Carolina State, Russell spent a year as a financial analyst before earning his J.D. Degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University.
While in law school Russell was a two-year member of the Editorial Board of the Campbell Law Review, a member of the Christian Legal Society, Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, and other organizations. During his time at Campbell, Russell was also privileged to take part in the international exchange program with Handong International Law School in Pohang, South Korea, as well as participating twice in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria for which he and his team were awarded prizes for both oral and written advocacy, as well as the Order of Old Kivett. Russell was also awarded book awards in International Business Transactions and Administrative Law, and served as a Martin Luther King, Jr. intern with Legal Aid of North Carolina focusing his time on Disability Appeals and Domestic Violence issues.
Russell is an attorney for the Charles Mack Citizen's Center Senior Pro Bono Project and continues to work with Legal Aid of North Carolina on a volunteer basis assisting the victims of Domestic Violence. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and Iredell County Bar Associations.
Tamara S. Martin, Legal Secretary
Tamara is a native to Mooresville. After graduating from Mooresville Senior High School, she attended Mitchell Community College in Statesville NC. Tamara worked in the nursing field while also working part time for Mrs. Miller. Now as a full time employee, she is a legal secretary for the firm and a legal assistant to Russell J. Schonekas, III.
While not working, Ms. Martin's time is spent enjoying her six year old little girl and her two year old little boy. Spending time with family and close friends is of the utmost importance to her.
Tamara's moto: "One should treat others as one would like other to treat oneself."
Deanna S. Miller, Controller
Deanna earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California, graduating in 2003. During her undergraduate time and after, she ran a bookkeeping business which catered to the accounting needs of a variety of industries; including contractors, producers, manufacturers, and accountants. In 2009, Deanna traded in the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles for the relaxed, quiet pace of her hometown, Mooresville, NC. Through the skills she acquired from her previous business, Deanna provides valuable financial analysis and reporting in addition to her management of daily accounting operations at the Law Office of Natalie J. Miller, PLLC.
